I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in CLARKSVILLE TN where I ate at Pancake House and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I should say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some other interesting facts on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
