I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in ZIONSVILLE IN where I ate at Village Pizzeria and I read a really interesting piece about bamboo. I had no idea you could make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After a bit more research I found some more amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
