I travel a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in YORK PA where I ate at Yorktowne Inc and I saw an interesting article on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.
I have to tell you I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some other incredible details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
