I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in YAPHANK NY where I ate at Yaphank Community Pizza and I read a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I must say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a little more research I found some other amazing details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
