I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in XENIA OH where I ate at No Way Jose Taco Shop and I read a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
