I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in WOODSIDE NY where I ate at No 1 Chinese Restaurant and I came across a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a bit more research I found some other incredible details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
