I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in WOOD RIDGE NJ where I ate at Jahn's Delicatessen & Liquor and I read a really interesting piece about bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got a couple pieces of clothing.
I must admit I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I found out some interesting pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
