I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I often take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in WINLOCK WA where I ate at Firehouse Restaurant and I read a new piece to do with bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I discovered some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
