I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in WINDSOR NC where I ate at Lighthouse Cafe With Cakes by Juanita and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and got some basic items of clothing.

I must say I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

Bamboo Clothing WINDSOR

After a bit more research I discovered some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
