I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in WINCHESTER VA where I ate at Tucano's Restaurant and I came across an interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a great option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was pretty much dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After some more research I found some incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
