I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in WINCHESTER KY where I ate at Tacos Too and I came across a new cover story on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I should say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After a little more research I discovered some other incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
