I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.

I must say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I found some incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
