I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in WILMINGTON IL where I ate at Giggles Patio and I came across a new piece on bamboo. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good option for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I should admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I removed it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After some more research I discovered some other incredible facts about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
