I travel a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in WILMINGTON DE where I ate at Lamberti's Cucina and I came across an interesting piece about bamboo. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased some items of clothing.
I should say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After a bit more research I found out some other amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
