I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in WILLIAMSPORT PA where I ate at Bullfrog Brewery & Eatery and I saw an interesting cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good choice for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.

Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I discovered some other incredible details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
