I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in WILDWOOD NJ where I ate at C & A Deli and I saw a really interesting cover story about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found some more incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
