I travel a lot for my job and so often end up having my dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in WHITMORE LAKE MI where I ate at Pizza House and I saw a new piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a few items of clothing.

I have to say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a bit more research I found some amazing pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
