I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in WHITEFISH MT where I ate at TCBY Cinn-A-Hev'N and I read an interesting article about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a couple items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I think is incredible. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
After a bit more research I found out some other amazing pieces of information on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco-friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
