I move around a lot for my work and so often end up eating alone in restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in WEYMOUTH MA where I ate at Olympic Pizza and I came across an interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a couple pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.

After some more research I found out some interesting details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
