I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in WESTBOROUGH MA where I ate at Naked Fish and I saw a new cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased some pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

Bamboo Clothing WESTBOROUGH

After a bit more research I discovered some incredible details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
