I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up eating by myself in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in WEST SPRINGFIELD MA where I ate at Piccadilly Pub Restaurant and I read a really interesting article about bamboo. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I must admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found some interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
