I travel quite a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in WEST PALM BEACH FL where I ate at Tree's Wings and I read a new piece about bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a few pieces of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a little more research I found out some other incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
