I move around a lot for my work and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in WEST L.A. CA where I ate at Nessim's and I read a new article to do with bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a great possibility for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and purchased a few items of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I discovered some more interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
