I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in WAUSAU WI where I ate at A&W and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a great option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.

I have to say I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.

After a bit more research I discovered some amazing facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
