I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in WATERTOWN MA where I ate at Talk of the Town Diner and I saw an interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got a couple items of clothing.
I should tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I discovered some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more information on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
