I travel a lot for my job and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in WATERBURY CT where I ate at Gahans Eating & Drinking Saloon and I saw a new article about bamboo. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a excellent possibility for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased a few pieces of clothing.

I should admit I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I think is amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
