I move around a lot for my job and so regularly end up having my dinner by myself in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in WARROAD MN where I ate at Time Out Pizzas and I came across an interesting cover story about bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and got a couple basic items of clothing.
I must say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry when I took it from the washing machine which I think is incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found some more amazing facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
