I travel quite a lot for my work and so regularly end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in WARREN MI where I ate at Cottage Inn Pizza and I came across a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a couple pieces of clothing.
I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a little more research I found some interesting facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, underwear, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
