I travel quite a lot for my work and so often end up eating by myself in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in WAPAKONETA OH where I ate at Waffle House Inc and I saw a new article to do with bamboo clothing. I did not realise you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a good choice for gym wear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I should admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I found some more incredible facts to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
