I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having my dinner all alone in restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in WALTON IN where I ate at Foxs Den and I read a new article on bamboo. I had no idea you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and purchased a few items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
After some more research I found some other amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs very little water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
