I travel quite a lot for my studies and so regularly end up eating all alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in WALLACE WV where I ate at Connie's Roadside Grill and I saw a new article on bamboo. I did not realise you could make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased some basic items of clothing.

I must tell you I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be incredible. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.

After a bit more research I found out some incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
