I travel a lot for my job and so regularly end up having dinner by myself in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in VIRGINIA BEACH VA where I ate at 22nd Street Raw Bar & Grille and I saw a new cover story to do with bamboo clothes. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a excellent choice for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and got a couple basic items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry after I took it from the washing machine which I think is amazing. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I can not stand ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some amazing details to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
