I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having my dinner alone in local restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in VINTON VA where I ate at Frank's Pizza & Italian Subs and I saw an interesting cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not know you could make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. It turns out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I went online and purchased a couple pieces of clothing.
I must admit I was very impressed. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothes stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found some amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
