I move around a lot for my studies and so often end up eating alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in VINCENNES IN where I ate at Marone's Formosa Gardens and I came across a new piece on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you can make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a great possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I went online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.
I must tell you I was very impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I found some more amazing pieces of information about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growing period so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
