I travel quite a lot for my job and so usually end up having dinner by myself in local restaurants. I usually take a novel or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in VENICE FL where I ate at Buddy's Pizza and I read an interesting article on bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got a couple items of clothing.
I should say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, not unlike silk. It was almost dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I think is great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I discovered some incredible details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo requires only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
