I move around a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating by myself in local restaurants. I often take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Recently, I was in VANCOUVER WA where I ate at Pacific Cafe and I saw an interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than organic cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got some items of clothing.
I should admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was almost dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After some more research I discovered some interesting facts on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.
I try to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
