I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in local restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in VALLEY FALLS KS where I ate at The Dragons Den Ice Cream Parlor & Grill and I saw an interesting article about bamboo clothes. I had no idea you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent so it is a great possibility for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a couple pieces of clothing.
I should admit I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was almost dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need much ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I hate ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I found some amazing details on bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, underwear, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
