I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in UNION CITY NJ where I ate at Zari's Deli and I read an interesting article on bamboo. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I looked online and purchased a few basic items of clothing.

I have to tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not particularly require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a little more research I found out some more incredible pieces of information about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Also bamboo needs very little water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find some details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
