I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having my dinner by myself in cafes. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in UNION CITY NJ where I ate at Espinosas Restaurant and I saw a new cover story on bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a great quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good possibility for gym clothes or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if this was really the case. I searched online and purchased a couple basic items of clothing.
I must admit I was extremely happy with what I bought. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is something I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After some more research I found out some other interesting details on bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
