I travel quite a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner all alone in cafes. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in UNION CITY TN where I ate at Hill's Restaurant and I read a really interesting cover story on bamboo clothes. I did not realise you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. I found out bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was interested by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and bought some basic items of clothing.

I have to admit I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I took it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After some more research I found some incredible details on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the growth period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
