I travel a lot for my studies and so often end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. The other day, I was in UNION CITY NJ where I ate at El Rinconcito Salvadoreno Restaurant and I read an interesting article to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent which means it is a good choice for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I searched online and got some basic items of clothing.

I have to say I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are numerous organic apparel stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.

After a little more research I found out some incredible pieces of information on bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I do my shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find more information on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
