I move around a lot for my work and so usually end up eating by myself in cafes. I like to take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Last week, I was in TYRONE PA where I ate at Subway Subs-Tcby and I came across an interesting piece on bamboo clothing. I did not realise you could make clothing out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than most cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothes. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a great choice for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by what I had discovered so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few pieces of clothing.
I should say I was pretty impressed with the quality. The fabric absolutely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate doing ironing.
You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I found out some amazing facts to do with bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows incredibly quickly which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not require pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs little water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothing and other products such as towels, socks, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find more articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
