I travel quite a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner alone in restaurants. I usually take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. The other day, I was in TURNER ME where I ate at Sunrise Family Restaurant and I saw a really interesting piece to do with bamboo clothes. I did not know you are able to make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. For example, bamboo clothing is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a good possibility for gym gear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if it was true. I looked online and bought a few pieces of clothing.

I should tell you I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. I also noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After a little more research I found some other incredible facts about bamboo. It is almost always organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo requires very little water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make environmentally friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, socks, curtains, and baby clothes.
