I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up eating alone in restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in TULSA OK where I ate at Jamacian Jeems and I saw an interesting cover story on bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent making it a excellent possibility for gym gear or even as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and bought some items of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed with the quality. The fabric really is soft, kind of like silk. It was pretty much dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was great. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need much ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo fabric is like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some other amazing details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Also bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, curtains, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and how to choose organic produce.
