I travel quite a lot for my studies and so often end up having my dinner all alone in local restaurants. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. The other day, I was in TUCSON AZ where I ate at Sakura Teppan Steak & Sushi and I saw a really interesting cover story to do with bamboo clothing. I did not know you can make clothes out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. Apparently it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent making it a excellent choice for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by this article so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got some items of clothing.

I must say I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I found to be great. I also noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is something I look for as I hate doing ironing.

You can find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic clothes stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.

After a bit more research I found some interesting details about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows very rapidly which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo requires little water during the growth period meaning they can survive droughts.

I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothes and other products such as towels, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.

You can find some information on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
