I travel a lot for my work and so often end up eating all alone in restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in TUCKER GA where I ate at Golden Sun Chinese Restaurant and I read an interesting cover story on bamboo. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some fantastic qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than organic cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is a fantastic quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym gear or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and purchased some items of clothing.
I have to tell you I was pretty impressed. The fabric absolutely is soft, kind of like silk. It was close to being dry after I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was great. Another thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothing is like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo towels.
After a bit more research I discovered some amazing details about bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows incredibly fast which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not use pesticides either. Also bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows which means they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I go shopping. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find some articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
