I travel quite a lot for my job and so often end up having dinner all alone in local restaurants. I often take a novel or magazine with me to help pass the time. Recently, I was in TROY MO where I ate at Oriental Palace Restaurant and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. I found out bamboo fabric and clothing is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent which means it is a excellent option for gym wear or even as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by what I had discovered so I had to find out for myself. I searched online and got some items of clothing.
I should say I was pretty happy with what I bought. The fabric absolutely is soft, not unlike silk. It was pretty much dry when I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was amazing. The other thing I noticed is that it did not necessarily need ironing. I I am unaware if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I can not stand ironing.
Check out the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can get organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a little more research I discovered some more interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses very little water during the time it grows so they can survive droughts.
I do my best to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as robes, blankets, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of articles on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and why to buy organic products.
