I travel a lot for my studies and so usually end up having dinner by myself in restaurants. I often take a book or magazine with me to prevent boredom. Last week, I was in TOLEDO OR where I ate at Olalla Valley Golf Course & Restaurant and I came across a really interesting piece on bamboo. I did not know you are able to make fabric out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They say it is antibacterial and good for you if you suffer from allergies. That is a great quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is extremely absorbent so it is a excellent option for gym wear or possibly as bamboo towels. I was interested by these claims so I had to find out for myself. I went online and bought some pieces of clothing.
I should say I was very happy with what I bought. The fabric definitely is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I took it out of the washing machine which I thought was incredible. The other thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is what I look for as I hate ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are many organic clothing stores where you can buy organic cotton clothes as well bamboo linen.
After a bit more research I discovered some interesting facts about bamboo. It is a product which is organic. It grows extremely fast which means it does not need any fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growth period so they can survive droughts.
I try to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so for me it is the number one choice for t-shirts and other products such as sheets, blankets, rugs, and baby clothes.
You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good info about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
