I travel a lot for my work and so often end up having dinner alone in local restaurants. I usually take a book or magazine with me to make me feel less alone. Recently, I was in THOREAU NM where I ate at Bull Pen and I came across a new article about bamboo clothing. I had no idea you can make clothes out of bamboo.
Bamboo has some great qualities. It turns out bamboo fabric is softer than most cotton. They say it is antibacterial and hypo-allergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in a fabric. Bamboo clothing is very absorbent which means it is a good option for gym clothes or also as bamboo towels. I was intrigued by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got some pieces of clothing.
I should tell you I was very impressed. The fabric really is soft, similar to silk. It was close to being dry after I removed it from the washing machine which I found to be amazing. Another thing I noticed is that it did not really require ironing. I am not sure if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.
Find the latest bamboo clothes here or there are plenty of organic apparel stores where you can purchase organic cotton clothes as well bamboo sheets.
After a bit more research I discovered some more interesting pieces of information to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows very quickly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. Plus bamboo needs only a small amount of water during the time it grows meaning they can survive droughts.
I attempt to make eco-friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable so it is my number one choice for clothes and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.
You can find some details on bamboo here and good information about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
