I travel a lot for my work and so usually end up having dinner alone in cafes. I like to take a good book or magazine with me to help pass the time. Last week, I was in THOMASVILLE GA where I ate at Hong Yip Restaurant and I read a new piece to do with bamboo clothes. I had no idea you can make clothing out of bamboo.

Bamboo has some amazing qualities. For example, bamboo fabric is softer than regular cotton. They also say it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. That is an excellent quality to have in clothing. Bamboo clothing is highly absorbent making it a excellent option for gym clothes or possibly as bamboo towels. I was fascinated by these claims so I had to find out if this was really the case. I looked online and got some pieces of clothing.

I have to admit I was extremely impressed. The fabric really is soft, not unlike silk. It was close to being dry as soon as I removed it from the washing machine which I thought was incredible. Another thing I noticed is that it did not particularly need ironing. I do not know if all bamboo clothes are like that but it is a quality I look for as I hate doing ironing.

After some more research I found out some other incredible details to do with bamboo. It is generally organic. It grows extremely rapidly which means it does not require fertilisers and they do not need pesticides either. As well as that, bamboo uses only a small amount of water during the growing period which means they can survive droughts.

I do my best to make eco friendly choices whenever I can. Bamboo is organic, renewable, and sustainable making it my number one choice for clothing and other products such as sheets, underwear, throws, and baby clothes.

You can find plenty of details on bamboo here and good points about organic farming and the benefits of organic products.
